and baby makes 6!

It's just another day in paradise

Caught in between motion

If I did not have an SLR camera, this whirlwind child would rarely be caught “on film” for me to ponder some years in the future. I want to remember everything about him. How long his eyelashes are. The sand dollar necklace that he wears with love swinging from his small neck. How he inherited his fathers broad shoulders.

His hands in the sand.

I gotcha! My shutter speed is faster than you are, little man.

  1. Another beautiful picture of one of your beautiful children.
So jealous of the beach day(s).

  2. I can’t imagine where the time went either, or how it could have flown by so fast (most days, anyway!)

That having been said, I know from watching my friend’s infant this year three days a week, that there is NO WAY I want to go back and relive them! LOL!!

  3. Knowing what this little angel went through in his early life — what a miracle he flits about like a hummingbird! God is good!

  4. That is a fantastic picture.

  5. I have been wanting an SLR digital for a few years now. I used to use a Nikon SLR from the old days. I have several lenses for it, but unfortunately I do not know where everything is right now. I know, how does one lose a whole camera ensemble? I had a few chaotic years there.

Anyway, I have recently run into a tad of “found money” and I think I am going to get a camera. What brand do you have? I was leaning towards Nikon, but I have heard good things about Canon too. I only have about $1000 to spend. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  6. You must have read my mind! Right after Mia’s cute little toes, while I was waiting for this page to load, I was wondering what kind of camera you use as I’m *this* close to a Nikon 40D. They had been on sale at Amazon…

AA, check slickdeals.net – I believe there still might be a deal for the Nikon 40D+18-55mm VR (Canon’s IS) lens + 200mm VR lens for just under $600.
