(in fact, we now have a complete ban on rodents after having had hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats)...I remember a friend who took a sick rat to the vet ($100)...and it died anyway... when the second one got sick, her husband quiety gassed in the barbq...! We have "French Fry the Wonder MOuse". He is actually French Fry TWO...but the kids dont know that. they adore that little peice o fluff. And its great entertainment for the cats.
