and baby makes 6!

It's just another day in paradise

Down with the flu. It is simply awesome to have the flu (sore throat, barfing, poops) and have your 4yo sit up in bed and puke everywhere. Words fail me. I mean, I never thought nausea could reach such a magnitude. It does and I pray that I never experience it again.

Then your fabulous husband comes to the rescue and baths 4yo while you, in a Phenergan induced stupor, strip the bed, clean the floors, walls and doors (didn’t make the bathroom) while he washes and comforts the tiny one.

I am somewhat relieved to be getting it over with, as I have been coming down with this for 2 weeks now, so to finally get on with it makes me know the end is in sight.

For me.

Now we wait as the other 4 brew.

Tonight is my husbands work Christmas party. I can’t tell you how much I have been looking forward to it. It certainly looks like I will be missing it, unless I have a miraculous turn around.

On the bright side, maybe we won’t be doing this on Christmas day!!

  1. Ugh, so sorry you’re sick. The flu sucks big time… I hope it comes and goes quickly for all of you!

  2. Jodi, I’m feeling for you…we r hosting Christmas day & a large family gathering 2 days after Christmas & the flu has been spreading thru my extended fam (who all live within 1 mile of us & whose kids ride the same school bus as mine :/) & I keep telling my kids to wash their hands VERY frequently. I’m hoping that between all my kids having gotten the flu shot & the blood of Jesus protecting them we will make it thru Christmas without succumbing to the nasty flu bug. Because like your house, we never get it all at once. When the flu(or any other nasty stomache virus) hits our house it takes its good old time making the rounds so mom ends up cleaning up yuckies for a month!

  3. Ug! Nothing is worst than being sick, unless it is caring for sick kiddos while you are sick. Praying for your speedy recovery, and that it won’t spread.

  4. Oh ick. I really hope you feel better soon. I’m crossing my fingers that you’re all healthy and well at Christmas.
