and baby makes 6!

It's just another day in paradise

That hateful bunny is on his way

It was time. Time to hit the stores and venture down the Easter section at Target, Walmart and Walgreens. I had avoided it long enough. If I waited any longer, my kids would be getting the combed over remnants, which included sugar free chocolate rabbits (the horror) and Peeps (gagamaggot, this years new Peep is red).

I saw all the bright packages and colorful foil. All the grass in pastel shades.

Don’t let all the pretty packaging fool you. It is hiding within. Calories. Large numbers of calories.

Let’s face it folks. Hippity, Hoppity, Chocolate is on its way.

Break out your treadmills, dust off your running shoes, because it is time for “Sneak the Candy Out of the Trusting Childs Basket” in 5 days.

Never fear…..last year we decided this, so have at it!

Oh, and please pass up the Peeps. There is just something VERY wrong about red Peeps.

  1. Hey, I just wanted to mention, everytime I see your webpage, I am blown away by how beautiful your children are.

I’ve always felt bad about eating peeps because they are so cute. Even the chocolate rabbits “I’m sorry I’m biting your ears off…”

Oh Gosh, Sandy! Thank you so much!

My favorite Easter candy evah are chocolate covered peanut butter eggs. I don’t feel bad about eating them….until they become pounds on my body.

  3. I didn’t even know what Peeps were! This year the kids are getting gifts of a non-caloric nature – toys, sugar free gum, etc. I totally don’t need that temptation – I still have 9 lbs to go!

  4. Dont forget the yummy Cadbury Creame Eggs! I agree, peeps are wrong, no matter the color.

  5. i bought those sugar free bunnies, lmao!! i am hoping to teach them chocolate is gross. is that evil or what?

    LOL Misti!

  7. One of the many wonderful things about living in Mexico is the complete and utter lack of EAster commercialization. Were it not Semana Santa and the beaches full of vacationing Mexican families, I wouldn’t even know Easter/Ostara was approaching.

THis (http://www.hopalog.com/archives/112) is Easter in Mexico…

    Happy floppy bunny day! :)
