Is this a girl thing? I mean, I did nawthing. She potty trained herself. The boys? They were sawmthing else altogether.
I brought down the little wooden potty from the attic, and turned her loose on it.
Oh, and I popped this tape into the video player
And now she uses the potty every day.

Congrats to you and her. What a huge milestone.
Please, please, please, may it be this easy for me too!
My daughter trained herself as well. She just made up her mind one day and that was that. I’ve heard boys can be challenging to say the least.
We watched that video and read the book. My daughter, also, potty trained herself. I’m so bad . . . we would be in line at the store and she would want to go to the potty. I would say, “Just go in your pull-up.” She would refuse. I hope the next one will be that easy. Thanks for visiting me.
That’s wonderful! I hope that it will be as easy with my son, but I’m sure it won’t
Yippee! No more diapers for you! (mostly) Maybe it is a baby #4 thing! I have 3 girls – all different potty-trainers. But baby #4 – a boy – pretty much just potty trained himself this Spring. I had worried about all that strange plumbing, but he did terrific! He loved the potty chair and thought it was part of a real Train! (He loves trains.)
Congrats! You can see her tan lines from her swimsuit, very cute.
I am jealous. i figure I only have two years of diapers left. Ugh.
wooohoo you go girl
I think it is a girl thing. Three of my girls were super easy to potty train. They just decided it was time and that was it.
Of course Mr. Bill did the same thing, but he had the influence of four older sisters as well as mom and dad.
Either way, Congrats to you both!
I love Prudence! I almost wish I had a child to potty train just so I could pull out the Prudence movie and book!
What a big girl! She looks so proud of herself!
Our daughter trained herself at 18 months. I was very glad to be done with the diaper detail, then!
Since I did the daycare for our grandsons, it fell to me to also train them. (mostly)
I had thought those days were behind me!
(and now they are!!!)
