Thanks for info about 5-point seats. I’m happy to be able to help others get the seat, and I will double-check what we are using for our 2 darlings–they are new seats, but I want to be sure they are “5-point.” I can feel a hint of the grief for those who lose their children–so much so that I can’t imagine the total depth of that despair should it ever actually happen to me. I can’t even stand to try to imagine it for very long.

Numerous commenters have expressed sorrow for my loss. I need to point out that Kyle was not my son. I was very moved by the video, and wanted to post it on my site to get the word out about the safety of a 5-point restraint for your children. It is so very heartbreaking, but by making that video, Kyle’s family is saving lives.

I am sorry for your loss. I appreciate this priceless information as I have a six year old daughter that is very small for her age and have wondered about her safety and what is appropriate for her to be riding in. May God Bless you and reunite you with Kyle in that happy day when Christ returns.

I just watched Kyle’s legacy and was completely touched by it. I thought I was doing the right thing with the boosters, but after watching Kyle’s story…I am completely careless. I let my three year old put the belt behind him because he continually complains about it rubbing his neck. I am on my way to a web site to check out the car seat. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Kyle’s memory will forever live on by the work you are doing.

I recently received an informational letter from our close family friend which happens to be a family physician about this fabulous website. I too, a former police officer, felt my 40lb child was “in need” of transfering to a booster seat UNTIL I received her letter and watched Kyle’s video. I was deeply touched and want to thank your family for making mine much safer. I am so sorry for your loss and so grateful that you are sharing it with the rest of us parents.
