5pm, but no sooner
Bill and I would like to share our new favorite drink with you. After drinking it, in the future, 5pm will not come soon enough. :*)
Gin Freeze
-1/2 blender full of ice
-4 oz Gin
-3 Tablespoons Frozen Bacardi Real Lime Mixer
Blend until very smooth. Coat rim of rocks glass with lime flavored sugar (or plain sugar), then pour in frozen mixture until 3/4 full. Sprinkle top lightly with lemon sugar. Now pour about 1-2 ounces lemon seltzer water over top.
Enjoy!!! We are!
**Must note that we have had 2 blenders full tonight to end a fabulous day….a day that included you-know-what without locked doors etc. How weird is that? I am loving keep-daddy-alive, stroke prevention, intervention 5pm cocktails. Even though I have not had a stroke, I am imbibing just to make sure….you can never be too careful!! Right??

Sounds great! We’ll be trying this one!
I hope it’s Bombay Sapphire!
…
Sounds delicious!
what? no locked doors??? And I assume during daylight hours?
Oh YUM! I love gin! One of my fave summertime drinks is a Gin Seabreeze – gin, pink grapefruit juice, cranberry juice. So tart and sweet and bitter at the same time! I think I may have to go buy some gin soon!
And you DO know that the nickname for gin is “panty remover”, right? So stands to reason…..
Yes, you can never be too careful.
. Everything in moderation….and hey…..it can’t hurt.
It’s funny…Jeff and I had never drank together. We have just always been very strict on ourselves when it came to that. The first time we went on a cruise together, we didn’t drink and even turned down the free cocktails at the captain’s party. Well, when we went on our last cruise, we had a more open mind. We were a couple alone out on a ship…alone in the sense that there was no one that we knew or would probably ever see again, thus we weren’t hurting our witness. Besides that, we had nowhere to drive to or any responsibilities at all for that matter. We didn’t do it with the purpose of getting torn up.
Wow…it was amazing. We sat around and sipped pina coladas and margaritas and no one cared. We laughed together and relaxed like never before. It was amazing…something we wouldn’t even think about doing. at home.
However, soon afterwards, Jeff came home one Friday with mixed drinks for the both of us. We put them in the fridge, and after the kids went to bed, we pretended like we were on our cruise again
mmmmm…. must buy gin.
I’m so happy for all of you!
Are you going to Sandfest? We are thinking of going….we might see you there if you go!
Well, 10am in Texas is 5pm in france….
Someday, girlfriend, we have to get together. You guys seem like a cool couple to hang out with : )
