Rachel, the drop off lane is sooo sloooow. That is why we are usually there really early before the normal people.

Hi Sue! Yes, we feel the same why about tardiness here. I don’t think my kids have ever gotten a tardy mark in all the time they have been in school. This is only because my Bill has taught us all well!

MEredith, that sounds like an excellent arrangement. Coffee should never be taken for granted! I am known in town to most always have a Jadite coffee cup in my hand in the mornings….filled with espresso and yummy, foamy Vit. D milk!!

Although I’d try to avoid the drop-off lane if it was anything like the one at the school I taught at 2 yrs ago – slooooooooow!

That’s very funny! I’ve been known to go out the front door still drinking coffee, and sip as far as the mailbox, where I’ll pick up where I left off, on my way back in.

We try never to be late for drop off. Being tardy means detention, which is never fun!
It also is marked on their report cards…

So funny, I used to be the mom in the drop off line. We have done surprisingly better this last month. I’ve had to reteach my kids to care about being late.

I am with you. The second cup of coffee is very important. My kids usually have to make a mad dash to the gate before the late bell rings. Drives my husband crazy too! But hey, if they get through the gate, they are on time, right?
