They are really not that bad and we kept them in their "vaccum pack" in a plastic container with a lid. It was the defrosting I had trouble with... you CANNOT defrost them in the microwave, so Joey would thaw them in a container in the sink. He thought I was crazy because I insisted that he use the same container every week and that it be kept separate all the time and never again used for anything else. He sold his snake to get more geckos, but he's thinking about a pair for next year... the boy he likes to breed... I thought I would hate the frozen mice, too.
