Meritt!! I am with you on crab guy!! It was hideous!!

G-town is great. There is so much to do there now…Moody Gardens, Rainforest Cafe, the Strand….the beaches are nice, but not as nice as Florida beaches. The sand is more fine, and since the Colorado river dumps into the Gulf, the water is not as clear. but we really love Galveston, as it is our home and Bill grew up there. There is definitely much to see if you have not been there before!

As for this post I’m glad you typed it. You see, I’ve never ever been to Galveston and I see a lot of the affordable cruises dock there. I’ve been inclined to choose the miami port or even Tampa because it just seemed less intimidating. NOW HOWEVER I’m thinking from your photos that Galveston looks like it is almost like Florida…. similar? So my brain is spinning and thinking maybe I should venture that way….

but the hotel story. I must have the hotel story before I make my final decision.
