Ug! This is why I live in the Pac NW - I like it to heat up to the mid 70's and no higher. When it hits the 80's here - half a dozen times a summer - we all want to die.

It's funny I often think I should of been born in an earlier era, when things were simpler, but you are right, my family would of starved if I had to homestead, and I would of lasted about 5 minutes in those clothes. I'm glad you will have A/C very soon:-)

I am SO with you on this! Personally, I HATE hot weather! I lived in Tempe, AZ for 9 years and that was only tolerable with a/c. When we moved home to MI I thought I'd be OK, since our old house has thick walls, is surrounded by trees, and stays somewhat cool, but recent summers have been hotter than ever, and HUMID. Did I say I hate humidity too? So a couple of years ago when I began losing my mind after a week of 90s and high humidity, we had a/c installed. Daryl was initially against it, but as my MIL pointed out, "It's easy for him to spend all day in an air conditioned office, come home for a couple of hours and go to bed (and by then it is cooling off a little)." I literally start to feel like my brain is on fire when I'm really hot. It's like intense PMS--my mood is vile and deadly.

I've been without air for the past week...I understand and agree completely.

Only we haven't had any pleasant cold front here in Phoenix.
