I love that you have your own style! Me? I don’t think I have a style (or any style). I wear what’s comfy but I think I dress really boring. Maybe that’s my stye? Boring. LOL. I’ve been debating the hair-color thing — I’ve never colored my hair but the grey is really coming in. I feel like I should do something about it but just can’t care enough. The grey doesn’t bother me much (or my DH) a bit but everyone mentions that I should cover it so it makes me think I should. Maybe I need to follow WarsawMommy’s advice and go low cut — boobs, I have! Then maybe my style would be boring w/boobs! LOL!!! Maybe that’s not so boring, eh?

Good for you, being who you are! Sometimes I worry about what others think about me and my clothing style. But you know what? I love my tennis shoes. They are comfortable. They work. I have no desire to go buy a million pairs of shoes. My husband doesn’t care. My son doesn’t and probably never will (yay for boys, haha). So I’m slowly learning that if another mom judges me on the basis of my clothing, then oh well, so be it.
Gotta be me, thanks for the reminder!

Oh and one question, do you think Mia will be like you and dress for comfort or do you think she’ll like “pretty” things? I think I see a little of both in her pictures. )

I have lived long enough to know a few things about myself and my wardrobe:

1. Cover the tummy with long scarves… sneaky AND stylish!

2. Tight trousers and high-heeled boots/ shoes/ sandals work wonders – I somehow lose about 10 pounds instantly. Good, huh?

3. I wear loose tops (to avoid the whole ‘hug the tummy roll(s) thing, but they are lower and show off my cleavage. Flash the boobs, ladies… nobody notices anything much if you do so.

4. Accessories, accessories! Earrings, scarves (see above), rings, fab shoes and handbags.

5. And the most important thing: self-confidence and self-love NEVER go out of style.

A few good pieces and you’re good to go FOR YEARS… just spruce up the wardrobe with new accessories and cheap t-shirts and cute jackets (on sale). It took me YEARS to figure all this out, but there you go

I LOVE THIS!

I am myself. I dress how I feel comfortable. I may not fit other people’s ideal mom, wife, or woman but I am happy with me.

And I love the pic! You both look great!

Funny you should blog about this. I am a mom of 5 (2 boys, 1 girl, & 2 more boys). Not the 2.whatever that everyone thinks that you should only have. All my life, I dressed how my mom thought that I should dress. It took me a long time to figure out that it is NOT me. Now I dress in my own style… wearing what I like best. Now I do things my way…doing what works best for my family and me. Like it or not, this is ME! I am a mom of 5 kids and I love it. Thanks for the great post.
